What I've Been Up To

 

I turned 5 months old August 30th

Mama had fun playing photographer

   

I found a new favorite toy

Mama sets it up in the kitchen so I can watch her cook

I'm learning all about Clemson Football

Mama and Daddy say I might be the good luck charm the Tigers have been looking for

I started eating solids...sorta

Avocado was my first food. Not sure if I liked it or the spoon better, but I enjoyed the experience! 

All this new stuff is exhausting!

Race Weekend

It was a non stop weekend for us! Lawton had a race up in Fort Collins on Saturday, and on Sunday we went out to cheer on the professional bike racers at the first annual Quizzno's Pro Cycling Challenge. Logan loved being outside and was a great cheerleader

Then we watched him start the 12.2 mile mountain bike

Then quickly back to work

The finish line was a slip-n-slide. Very nice on such a hot day!

So proud of her Daddy. He came in 8th in his age group of 33

Our first viewing point for the Pro Cycling Race in Morrison, CO. The racers would come down the road that's behind us.in this shot.

Our second vantage point in downtown Denver. One of the racers, George Hincapie, lives in Greenville, SC. We brought a flag to represent the home state

Somehow we got a picture of George. A huge feat considering how fast they were whizzing by!

Logan and the crowd. There were A LOT of people who came out for the race. She didn't always love how loud the cheering got when the racers came by.

And a bath to clean off the day before bed. Good weekend!!

4 month photo shoot

Even though she'll be 5 months next week, we have yet to get these pictures up. So almost one month late, here's what Lo was looking like as she turned 4 months old! Mama could not resist these leg warmers even though it was close to 90 degrees that day.

Visiting Hilton Head!

So it only took me a month to finish posting out vacation pics....I'm terrible about this blog thing! I'm sorry to all of you who have been checking and seeing nothing new.
After the Charleston half of our trip, we headed to HHI to see Nana J and Pops. Again we were able to enjoy the beach and the pool. It was a perfect ending to our vacation!

Charleston Trip

We were fortunate enough to get to go home to SC for 9 days at the end of July to visit family.  First we hit up the annual Davis Beach week on The Isle of Palms. We got to see Nana Nann and Poppa Sam, and meet all of Daddy's extended family.

All the sublets with Uncle Mark. He just got back from MD Anderson where he underwent surgery to remove a tumor in his brain. We were so glad that he was able to join us at the beach, and that he was doing so well. Aunt L Beth got the kiddos all cool do-rags to wear so they could match Uncle Mark.

Uncle Mark has a special bond with all the Sublets, and Logan loved meeting him for the first time

Maggie is going to be a great big sister!

We even got to meet/see some of Mama's old friends from high school. Trina has a little boy named Jack, and Kelsie's daughter is Sloan. Those two kids are only a month apart and will be 1 this year. Mama hasn't seen those girls in 7+ years
